If you haven't noticed the issue of supply
chain and ERP applications over the last couple of years have
taken the forefront. Most companies are in the throws of implementing
some form of ERP system and are also trying to refine their
supply chain or their position in someone else's supply chain.
Many are joining electronic market places, etc. and are finding
an increased need to test their conformance to standards. Also
in relation to ERP implementation, many are making an attempt
to simplify their processes and product lines to get best advantage
from the ERP implementation. Another trend is to try to drive
accuracy to previously unheard of levels to drive out costs
of handling exceptions and errors. Many are even targeting six
sigma transactional accuracy. Scan Auditor is an extension of
the SCANALYST system. It includes a database application
that is loaded on the Windows CE platform. It combines the application
with the use of an appropriate barcode verifier in a very flexible
question structure. Essentially this application is used to
scan codes of products in the supply chain. As the codes are
scanned on each container, the data that is in the codes is
exploded to a human readable form allowing the user to verify
the contents against the data. The flexible question format
allows companies to ask question such as box sizes, weights,
etc. to ensure that they have a uniform approach to markets.
Scan Auditor is a quick and accurate tool to determine any company's
conformance to quality levels and content structures. Essentially
testing supply chains to conformance to all issues.
